Rain, Rain GO AWAY. Seriously.

Oh, peeps. It is another day of torrential downpours across North Georgia and the poor people south of me in Austell, Powder Springs, Mableton (above), etc. have yet to dry out from the floods earlier in the week.

Just about every creek and river...including Sweetwater Creek, Peachtree Creek and the Chattahoochee...overflowed. In good news, a new eco-friendly commute option was discovered....kayaking. (Um, yes, that is a residential street above, not a national forest.)

In even better news, Six Flags over Georgia has introduced several new water rides, available for a limited time only. Have a good one and send desert-y thoughts of dryness our way! Bun.

I didn't know how to best answer you question on my freezer stockpile except to leave a comment on this post. Wow, what a horrible flood that is.

We decided that February would be our month of "if we haven't gotten sick yet, than we probably won't." At that point, we will treat ourselves to a month of no cooking. Also, if some of our friends get sick, we will use that food to help them, too.

It always helps to 1. Label and date all freezer food and 2. Keep an inventory list on the front of the freezer of what's in it (cross off stuff as you use it!!).

Thanks, Kristen. I thought people could access my email through my blog, but maybe not...I will have to check that. Love the list idea...will try it!

Wow! Quite a sight to see a roller coaster like that. I hope it didn't invade ppl's homes, although from the looks of it...probably did. Eeek!
